The Add-On Dependent application is the addition of dependents who are not listed as dependents of the principal during the first MM2H application. The dependents refer to spouse, unmarried children below the age of 21 years old, parent(s)/parent(s)-in-law.
Participant aged 50 years and above may request for Permission to Work Part Time subject that the job is listed as the Critical Occupational List by the Ministry of Human Resources. Participant may allow to work only 20 hours per week. The approval is subject to the decision by the MM2H Review Committee Meeting.
MM2H participants are allowed to withdraw partial of the required Fixed Deposit from the second year onwards for approved expenses related to house purchase, car purchase, education for children in Malaysia and medical purposes. The allowed amount is RM50,000 for aged 50 years and above and RM150,000 for aged below 50 years. However, they must maintain the remaining of Fixed Deposit (RM100,000 for aged 50 years and above and RM150,000 for aged below 50 years) until they terminate from MM2H Programme.
Termination application refers to the request from the applicant/participant to be terminated from this Programme. Termination can occur either before or after the endorsement of the MM2H Social Visit Pass.
The extension procedure applies to the participant who does not receive the full duration of the 10 years’ MM2H Visa because of short validity period of their passport at the time of endorsement. Participant may claim the remaining period upon the issuance of a new passport. For this procedure, dependents (children) will only be given extension up to 21 years old only.
Principal who brings along children under 21 years old may send them to any educational institutions in Malaysia. For children below 18 years old, principal may request for “Permission To Study” from the MM2H Immigration Unit.
However, tertiary educational institutions (private colleges and universities), requires the student to have a Student Pass. Therefore, children (MM2H dependent) who is enrolling into tertiary educational institutions, MUST terminate their MM2H Social Visit Pass in order to apply for the Student Pass.
In the event of the death of the Principal, the dependent may request to be the Principal. However, dependent MUST report it to the MM2H Centre within 3 months from the principal’s date of death.
